Superb and rare small child's armchair in bent beechwood, in the purest style of early 20th-century Thonet or Jacob & Josef Kohn designs (circa 1900-1920).
This miniature model features the elegant lines of "bistro" office chairs with its enveloping back and curved armrests. A perfect piece for a refined child's bedroom or as a vintage decorative object.
Materials: Solid steam-bent beechwood. Excellent vintage condition with a beautiful original patina. A tiny chip at the base of one leg (normal wear and tear that adds to its charm).
Seat: A major asset – the hand-caning has been completely redone by a craftsman (traditional 6-strand caning). The armchair is therefore ready for everyday use.
