Beautiful rare adjustable, mid-century Scandinavian-style pendant lamp made of wood and raffia cord by Temde Swiss, 1960s.
The large rope lamp consists of a walnut fixture partially covered with raffia cord with a diffuser and matching walnut ceiling shade attached. The ceiling cap contains a pull mechanism for height adjustment. The lamp is in very good, working, and original condition and emits a pleasant and atmospheric light. No loose cords etc.
Dimensions: height: 29 x Ø 58 cm. Height lamp in photo with cord and ceiling cap 70 cm, and can be adjusted as desired by pulley system. Fitting: E27. Light bulb included.
Temde-Leuchten and Temde AG was a German-Swiss manufacturer of lighting fixtures, with headquarters in Detmold (North Rhine-Westphalia) and subsidiary in Sevelen, in the canton of St. Gallen in Switzerland. Fritz Müller (1889-1964), son of a furniture maker from Lipperland founded the company in 1911 under the company Temde, abbreviated by Theodor Müller, father of the company's founder.
