Quinta chair for sale, designed by Swiss architect Mario Botta for the Italian company Alias, 1985. Alias stamp present. Out of production.
A student of Le Corbusier and Luis Kahn, Mario Botta transposed the principles of geometric rigor that underpin his architecture into the Quinta chair. Its black lacquered tubular metal frame supports a seat and back made of folded perforated metal sheets, while its curved metal rod armrests define a graphic silhouette of absolute power and originality. The Quinta chair is part of the permanent collection of the MoMA in New York. Superb overall condition.
