This Pyramid & Glass Sphere table lamp is a striking and highly unusual design by Harco Loor for Harco Loor Design, produced in the Netherlands during the 1980s and retaining its original manufacturer’s label. The lamp consists of a clear acrylic pyramid structure encasing a luminous glass sphere, resting on a crisp white base. The composition is pure, conceptual and strongly geometric—a distinctive example of Dutch postmodern lighting design. When illuminated, the opal glass sphere emits a soft, warm glow that contrasts beautifully with the sharp, transparent lines of the pyramid. Light is both contained and reflected by the acrylic planes, creating a subtle play of shadows and reflections. The result is a calm, almost architectural presence that feels simultaneously sculptural and atmospheric. This lamp is very rare—an example seldom encountered and, to our knowledge, only seen once before. It is presented in very good vintage condition, with only minimal signs of age. The presence of the original label adds to its collectability and authenticity, making this a highly desirable piece for serious collectors of rare Dutch design.
