A beautiful set of a P60 lounge chair and matching ottoman from the "Proposals" series. Designed by Vittorio Introini and produced by Saporiti in Italy around 1970. The set is upholstered in high-quality gray suede leather. This material gives the set a luxurious touch and perfectly complements the design. The soft cushions and curved shapes of the pieces provide exceptional seating comfort. The matching ottoman is more than just an accessory; it beautifully reflects the refined design of the chair. Vittorio Introini (1935-2015) was a Milanese architect who collaborated with Joe Colombo and pioneered futuristic design. His work for Saporiti represents some of the most radical Italian furniture of the period, combining architectural precision with bold experimentation. The "Proposals" line was Saporiti's platform for groundbreaking designs—each piece was essentially a prototype that pushed the boundaries of form and function. This makes the surviving examples rare.
The set is in beautiful vintage condition. Despite professional cleaning, a few small stains remain, and the suede upholstery has slightly discolored in some areas due to UV light. However, these are normal signs of wear considering the set's age. The brand label is included.
