Privé" desk or secretary by Jürgen Lange for Rosenthal Germany 1987
This is an extremely well thought-out and designed desk. While occupying a small footprint, it offers astonishing storage capacities thanks to its folding doors, hidden storage compartments and drawers.
The desk rests on a rectangular base of artificial stone. To access the main storage compartments and drawers, the main door folds out to become a writing board. The two central drawers are made of fruitwood, as is the edge of the writing board.
The desk's overall width varies from 60 to 124 cm, depending on whether the folding side doors are in the open or closed position.
Jürgen Lange is a German industrial designer who founded his own planning and product design office in 1968.
