This Shelving unit by Poul Cadovius combines generous storage space with an open and pleasantly light design. The warm wood tone, the finely crafted cabinet elements, and the delicate black metal brackets characterize the clear structure. The design is still one of the most popular classics of Danish Mid Century design. The configuration offers eight shelves with different depths, providing ample space for books, art, and decorative objects. Additionally, there are two base cabinets, one with doors and a lockable drop-down compartment. Its front consists of elaborately woven veneer, forming a fine geometric pattern and belonging to the special details of the Shelving unit. The high quality is evident in the carefully framed fronts, the recessed handles, and the precise craftsmanship of the individual elements. All shelves and cabinet modules can be moved along the wall rails and adapted in their arrangement to different rooms and uses. Thus, the Shelving unit combines open display space with protected storage and remains pleasantly light despite its size. The overall condition of the Shelving unit is very good with only minor age-related signs of wear. One ladder is 10cm shorter.
