The "Società Ceramica Richard" was founded on February 23, 1873, by Giulio Richard, with its headquarters in Milan and factories in San Cristoforo, Palosco, and Sovere. The company was listed on the Milan Stock Exchange in 1877. In 1896, "Società Ceramica Richard" acquired the ancient Doccia manufactory, founded by Marquis Carlo Ginori in 1737. From this merger, "Società Ceramica Richard-Ginori" was born, a name that still today evokes excellence in ceramic production. "Società Ceramica Richard" produced a wide range of products, including majolica, porcelain, and earthenware. Production included dinnerware, art objects, and artistic ceramics. "Società Ceramica Richard" played a fundamental role in the development of the Italian ceramic industry. The merger with Ginori gave rise to one of the most prestigious brands in the sector.
