Exceptional vintage coat rack or valet stand with a striking, sculptural design language from the 1980s. The entire construction consists of white lacquered metal tubing and traces the abstracted silhouette of a human with a few flowing lines. The upper area is particularly characteristic: a large oval loop forms the head, while the laterally swinging tube lines suggest shoulders and torso. A horizontally guided section serves for hanging or placing clothes. When equipped with a shirt, jacket, or T-shirt, the human silhouette of the design becomes particularly clear. The base is also entirely developed from bent metal tubing. The open, almost rectangular base consistently continues the reduced lines and gives the object its light, graphic appearance. As a result, the coat rack functions not only as a utilitarian object but also as a decorative design object or small spatial sculpture. The playful combination of human figure, function, and minimal metal construction is typical of experimental European designs of the 1970s and is reminiscent of Pop Art and postmodern design. Condition: Good authentic vintage condition with age-related signs of wear. The white lacquer shows minor scratches, abrasion, and isolated dark spots or small paint losses. These traces are particularly visible up close but hardly impair the exceptional overall effect. Overall, the coat rack presents itself beautifully and characterfully. Dimensions: L45.5 x W45.5 x H152.5 cm
