Vintage ‘Space Mission’ armchair in Postmodern style designed by studio Pierre Mazairac and Karel Boonzaaijer & Partners, 1988.
The armchair features a plywood seat and backrest supported by a black metal futuristic frame, fitted with blue upholstered cushions. The backrest has a beautiful graphic design of twisted diamonds in light and dark wood.
This armchair is from the unconventional and non-commercial collection released from 1988 onwards under the collection named FUNiture.
The influence of the Italian Memphis group shifted their furniture design style from functionalist to postmodernist.
