An exceptional 1980s lounge sofa with a striking postmodern design and distinctive denim upholstery. The model captivates with its soft, almost sculptural curves, deep seat recess, and generously padded armrests and back, giving the sofa a particularly relaxed and inviting feel. The upholstery is made of dark denim with typical contrasting stitching and decorative floral fabric inserts along the edges and sides. The combination of denim, visible seams, and patchwork-like details is strongly reminiscent of experimental furniture and fashion designs of the 1980s, lending the sofa an almost Memphis-inspired aesthetic. The craftsmanship, in particular, appears fashion-forward and clearly stands out from classic industrial upholstered furniture of the era.
The original fabric label, "Galapagos Giant Turtle," is located on the back. A definitive attribution to a known manufacturer has not yet been verified.
