Here, the invitation is locked, out of fidelity to a stroke that suffices in itself: a geometry closed upon itself, obstinate. No curve. No artifice. Three upright planes, as interior walls. Three verticals, rigid—symbolic more than structural. The purity of form concludes in duplication.
Two twin shapes, indivisible. Two exact cubes, reduced to their strictest definition. No excess, no faint signal. Only one block. Then another. Unyielding.
Every edge declares intention. Every plane, a limit. The object frames—in the most primal sense. From such delimitation, space is born. Because space exists only when it is contained.
More than a seat, a territory. The body finds here less a function than an anchorage, carved in the solid. That is its transcendence: more than armchair, fragment of architecture—bastion, not furniture.
And beneath this rigor, a precise inflection: a red leather, pure, saturated to its very limit. It insists. It asserts the form. It exposes it without detour, almost in defiance. Not merely a color. A deliberate deviation. A stance. The refusal of furniture that fades away.
