The Crackled Glass Ball Body Vase L by Pols Potten has a diameter of 33.8 centimeters and a height of 50 centimeters and is watertight. Suitable for use as atmospheric home decor or as a flower vase. The Pols Potten Crackled Glass Ball Body Vase is a fascinating combination of craftsmanship and modern design. The most striking feature of this vase is the crackle pattern in the glass, which gives the vase a unique character. It is no standard vase, as each piece is entirely mouth-blown in a wooden mold. Afterwards, the vase is submerged in ice-cold water and fired in the hottest oven. It is the mastery of one of the artisans Pols Potten met more than 20 years ago during their travels through China. This daredevil from the Ming Dynasty is full of self-confidence and loves to push the boundaries. The glass receives a brief shock from the water, creating the delicate cracks. After the water bath, the vase is placed back in the mold and then into the oven.
