Vintage Design The 4794 lounge chair by Gae Aulenti for Kartell was introduced in 1974. It is molded from black painted polyurethane. The collection also includes chair 4854, armchair 4794 and table 4894. These pieces were praised for their exceptional craftsmanship and timeless elegance when they debuted at the 1974 Salone. Created in 1968, the design features carefully crafted profiles with variable cross-sections and intricately designed, complex curves.
