Rare ‘PR’ arc lamp designed by Italian artist and designer Pirro Cuniberti for Sirrah Imola in 1970. Better known for his work as an abstract painter and graphic artist, Cuniberti translated his distinctive visual language into this sculptural lighting design. The long, fluid curve of the arm gives the lamp an elegant graphic quality while creating an impressive architectural presence within an interior. The adjustable vertical pole is mounted between floor and ceiling, while the extended curved arm can be positioned in height. The arm can be extended to adjust the width/ reach of the lamp, and the shade itself can also be turned 360 degrees and the angle can be altered into position to create the light of your desire. Its large brushed aluminium shade is fitted with an inner diffuser, creating a soft and pleasant downward light. A striking example of experimental Italian lighting from the 1970s, combining technical versatility with a remarkably refined silhouette.
