Sweden / 1970 / coffee table with magazine rack / Karin Möbring / pine wood, linen / Mid-century Coffee table designed by Karin Möbring for the Safari series by Ikea in the 1970s. The table is made of solid Scandinavian pinewood: a type of pinewood that has minimal knots and therefore a calm appearance. The recess for reading material is original, made of linen upholstery. Two compartments offer space for magazines and books. With an eye for materials and a talent for designing comfortable, quality furniture with wide appeal, Karin Mobring worked as a designer for IKEA from 1964 to 1993. Ref. 25-0278
