The table was presumably made between 1970 and 1980 by the French designer and cabinetmaker Pierre Chapo, with the type designation T35D. It measures (length x depth) approx. 2.24 x 1.10 m and is approx. 74.5 cm high. The table top has a thickness of approx. 68 mm. The table and base are made of solid elm, with a central 'witch's knot' base. The table top is only laid on top. The individual studs of the legs can be taken apart for transportation and placed on top of each other again when reassembling according to a specific system. The furniture is very heavy and should be assembled by a carpenter.
The table is in good condition with the usual signs of use, the surface of the table top can be refurbished if the signs of use are disturbing. The table has been in a non-smoking household since it was purchased.
Signs of use:
- There is a small hairline crack at a glue joint in the table top on the upper side, as well as minor scratches and a few lighter spots
- There is also a crack in the table top on the underside and a small wood edge can be seen.
- Feet - the wood at the lowest points of the cleats shows splintering and cracks
