Piero Fornasetti (Milan, November 10, 1913 – Milan, October 15, 1988) was an Italian artist. Versatile and eclectic, he was characterized by an irrepressible creative flair that made him one of the most prolific figures of the 20th century and could hardly be attributed to any specific movement. Sculptor, painter, interior designer, printer, and creator of over thirteen thousand objects: his output is among the greatest of the twentieth century. His aesthetic, driven by an instantly recognizable visual language, is full of color, humor, and mystery.
