Piero Fornasetti (1913–1988) was an Italian designer and decorator, renowned for his poetic and graphic style. Born in Milan, he trained in architecture while developing a passion for drawing and the decorative arts. In the 1930s, he founded his workshop and created furniture and objects adorned with original motifs, including the famous Lina Cavalieri faces. His work combines imagination and artisanal skill, transforming each object into a work of art. In the 1950s, he collaborated with architect Gio Ponti on the renowned Architettura series, where his graphic and architectural motifs were paired with modern furniture forms. His creations from the 1950s and 1960s embody mid-20th-century Italian design, combining a unique identity with decorative elegance.
