Philips Infraphil Space Age K17500 150-watt heat lamp/infrared lamp from the 1960s (mid-century). Designed by Charlotte Perriand, made in the Netherlands.
By inserting another bulb, it can also be used as a spotlight or table lamp.
It still works perfectly and is intended for medical use, including muscle pain, colds, sprains, bruises, lumbago, and much more.

In 1960, the Philips Infraphil KL7500 heat lamp was introduced, a distinctive conical aluminum fixture equipped with a pressed-glass infrared lamp and an integrated Fresnel lens. The Philips Infraphil KL7500 heat lamp represented the basic design for the 1960s and 1970s. The total weight of the lamp and its heavy-duty cast aluminum fixture was over 1.5 kilograms. The lamp was secured with a clamp ring that fit into a groove on the front of the fixture. The Philips wordmark was integrated into the handle, and a foil with the Philips logo was adhered to the top of the fixture. Based on this successful model, several similar models would be introduced in the following decades.
Around 1960, Philips introduced a completely new type of Infraphil lamp with the type number 13379F/479. This lamp is made of pressed glass and therefore less fragile. A Fresnel lens is pressed into the front of the lamp, which improves the focusing of the radiation. The pressed glass lamps with type number 13379F/479, like their blown-glass predecessors, have a bayonet base and bear the same imprint as the blown-glass lamps.
