Unique blue mother-of-pearl dial with distinctive veining and a freshly replaced battery!
This unisex Swiss watch by Philippe Charriol, Celtic Calendar model, case reference 15.90.1052, boasts a sporty, elegant, and timeless style.
It is a fine watchmaking gem, acquired in 1992 at the Bayerischer Hof Hotel in Munich (I am the first owner; it was a graduation gift).
Features:
- Swiss quartz movement
- Battery-powered (replaced in March 2026)
- Large, unisex 35mm case. Stainless steel with 18k gold-plated bezel and details. It features the iconic circular relief around the perimeter, mimicking the design of Celtic cable, the brand's signature.
- A beautiful and very rare round blue mother-of-pearl dial.
- Three subdials displaying the day of the week, month, and seconds with a moon phase, giving it a sporty chronograph look. Luminescent hands, Roman numerals for the 12 o'clock position, and Arabic numerals for the date around the dial. Highly resistant mineral crystal.
- Original dark blue leather strap with adjustable length and a double-click folding clasp.
Shows natural wear from age only on the back. I haven't replaced the original strap with a new one to showcase the original design and keep the price down.
The brand itself offers replacement straps, which will transform the watch into a practically new piece, perfectly tailored to your taste.
- Excellent vintage cosmetic condition, as described and visible in the photos, with inevitable micro-scratches or superficial scuffs from use, as a new watch would experience shortly after being worn. Being a luxury brand with excellent movements, it's a very durable watch and can always be serviced by professional watchmakers.
