This delicate floor lamp by Temde from the 1960s is a characterful example of mid-century design. The combination of warm wood and a textured fabric shade gives it a timeless and organic appeal. The lamp consists of a slender wooden base and a striking shade adorned with vertical wooden elements. The light-colored fabric shade provides a soft, diffused light, creating a cozy atmosphere. The pull-chain switch operation underscores the authentic vintage character of this piece. The pull-chain switch is original and has been lovingly recreated by hand. Missing wooden elements have also been replaced. The floor lamp is in good vintage condition and displays a beautiful patina that tells its story. There are signs of wear on the base. The lamp's top cap has always been as it is; I don't know if it's original. One screw under the shade has been replaced. It is fully functional and ready to illuminate a new room. However, it has not recently been tested by an electrician. This piece fits perfectly into Scandinavian-inspired or mid-century modern interiors. It is ideal as a reading lamp next to an armchair or as an atmospheric light source in the living room.
