This is the iconic FD 515 coffee table from the 1950s, a masterpiece of Danish design created by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen for the prestigious manufacturer France & Daverkosen.
The design is characterized by an elegant, elongated shape and distinctive conical teak legs, which convey a sense of lightness and refinement. A beautiful detail is the floating, woven magazine shelf, supported by slender, gleaming brass brackets. This combination of materials—teak, wicker, and brass—is typical of the Mid-Century Modern era and exudes an understated, organic luxury.
