I am selling an original vintage coffee table from the Horn Collection, dating from around 1970 and attributed to Peter Ghyczy. The square table is made of molded polyurethane with a white lacquer finish. Its softly rounded shapes and seamlessly flowing sides embody the typical Space Age design language of the late 1960s and early 1970s. A particularly attractive and important detail for its authenticity is the original Horn Collection manufacturer's label still attached to the underside. This label explicitly states polyurethane as the material and the specific lacquer finish. It also bears the stamped number "02 08 3". Dimensions: approx. 72 × 72 × 39 cm. Manufacturer: Horn Collection, Germany. Design: Attributed to Peter Ghyczy. Material: Polyurethane, white lacquer. Date of origin: circa 1970 / late 1960s to early 1970s. The table is in good, original condition for its age. The original paintwork shows minor scratches, a few nicks and small chips, as well as slight age-related discoloration. No cracks or repairs are known to me. The signs of wear are documented as accurately as possible in the photos. A beautiful and now rare piece of German space-age and plastic design. Due to its size and to avoid damage during shipping, I prefer local pickup. Private sale, excluding any liability for material defects. No returns or warranty.
