Glicee on canvas by Peter Diem. Dimensions: 46x35x1cm. Edition: 9/40. Peter Diem (Coburg, 1954) is a Dutch artist. He paints like a whirlwind, he lives his art. Powerful canvases, exponents of his explosive lifestyle. He discovered his great love early on. Amsterdam is the place from which he now travels the world in search of colors and emotions. As if in a fight against time (Diem wants to live forever), he expressively translates his feelings into paint upon his return.
Feverishly, violently and with powerful strokes, enormous amounts of paint are applied to the canvas, if necessary directly from the tube and with both hands at the same time. In addition to cheerful cows and painted travel impressions, he works diligently on his cosmic themes. The canvases represent a complex journey of discovery, in which you search and find. His involvement in his work is so intense that it is sometimes difficult for him to part with his canvases.
