In 1982, Charles Randolph Pollock created Penelope, a true design classic. The American designed a lightweight and flexible piece for Anonima Castelli. Penelope consists of a steel wire sled base supporting a Rilsan-coated mesh seat. The elastic effect of the base is enhanced by a polyurethane tube that acts as a shock absorber. The armrest covers, made of the same material, offer additional comfort. With Penelope, Pollock created a new seating form.
