For sale: Pendant light model 2133, designed by Gino Sarfatti for his own company, Arteluce, 1972. Signed and marked Arteluce. This piece is part of the permanent collection of the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
A white lacquered aluminum disc reflector supported by a three-arm black lacquered metal structure, it embodies absolute formal minimalism, a luminous sculpture of striking graphic elegance. Sarfatti designed each new light fixture in direct response to the arrival of a new light bulb on the market; it is precisely this radical functionalist approach that makes each model an object of total coherence and formal necessity.
