This cylindrical glass vase, designed by Pavel Pánek for the Heřmanova Huť glassworks (Sklo Union) in the 1970s, is a striking example of Czechoslovakian pressed glass. The "Spiky" model is characterized by its highly textured surface, featuring raised bumps and circular patterns, giving the object a distinctive tactile and visual depth. Made of transparent pressed glass, the vase reflects light in a captivating way, creating dynamic shadows. Its solid and robust construction is typical of Sklo Union's production techniques during this era. Measuring approximately 18 cm in height and 7 cm in diameter, it has a slender silhouette, making it ideal for single flowers or small arrangements. The design reflects the experimental aesthetic of the 1970s. The vase is in good condition, with age-appropriate signs of wear that emphasize its vintage character. The original structure and clarity of the glass have been preserved, attesting to the quality of the original craftsmanship.
