Patrick Norguet, born in Tours in 1969, is a French designer.
After studying at the École Supérieure de Design Industriel (ESDI) in Paris, Norguet founded his own studio in Paris. The designer creates furniture for various well-known manufacturers such as Cassina, Artifort, Kristalia, Alias and Tacchini. However, his portfolio also includes collaborations with luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton and Yves Saint Laurent. His "Rainbow Chair" by Cappellini, created in 2000, is Norguet's most renowned work to date. The chair is now an icon of contemporary French design and has been included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.
Parallel to furniture design, Norguet is also involved in interior design projects. In 2010, he designed a McDonald's restaurant in France, which resulted in a worldwide collaboration with the brand.
Norguet developed the "Stil S48" chair in 2009 for the Italian brand Lapalma. The design embodies functionality and minimalist elegance. The chair is made entirely of powder-coated metal and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
