Product description
Beautiful religious statuette, formerly a clock ornament or originally mounted on a base, depicting the Virgin of the Chair after Raphael, holding her child, in the Neo-Gothic style, made of spelter with a gilt patina. Antique, late 19th or early 20th century. Height approximately 21 cm, maximum length 22 cm, maximum width 10 cm. In fair condition, with a burnished/worn patina. One rear leg of the chair is missing (the piece remains stable thanks to the back of the book). One of the Christ Child's big toes is missing, and there is a visible crack on the same leg. Other minor flaws and discreet wear are also present. Two screw holes are visible under the base. Approximately 1.2 kg.
