It is said that an elephant with an uplifted trunk brings good fortune. This one also carries something else: the weight of bronze, the richness of hand-chiseled decoration, and the silent presence of significant collector's pieces. The bronze is solid, massive. The deep black patina has developed over several decades: golden reflections run across the raised areas, and verdigris has settled into the crevices. This is not an artificial treatment. It is time itself. The elephant advances, its trunk raised and curled into a ring. On its back, the mahout, the elephant driver, sits in a riding position, sculpted from the mass with remarkable precision for this size. The animal's surface is entirely covered with chiseled relief decoration: a checkered caparison, round studs, floral motifs, unfurled ears, short tusks. Every square centimeter has been worked. Length approximately 10-12 cm, height approximately 7-8 cm, 650 g. Indian craftsmanship, 20th century. Very good condition, even patina. Placed on a desk or a shelf, it does not go unnoticed. It invites touch as much as sight.
