Wardrobe designed by Cees Braakman for Pastoe, 1950s.
A teak wardrobe from the famous Pastoe series by designer Cees Braakman. This line is also known as the “Japanese series”. Characteristic of this design are the slender black metal legs and the recessed, square black handles.
The wardrobe is crafted from teak and features two accordion or folding doors (double-hinged). Additionally, the wardrobe features various original extras, such as a mirror, a white stocking drawer, and a tie hanger. The minimalist design combined with the slender legs gives the wardrobe a light, almost floating appearance.
Considering its age of approximately 60 years, this Pastoe wardrobe is still in very good condition, with minor signs of wear here and there appropriate for its age.
A matching bed and nightstands are also available. Dimensions:
