Exceptionally beautiful, fully restored armchair designed by Yngve Ekström. Pastoe imported these chairs and included them in its own collection.
Beautiful and very comfortable Ruster armchair designed by the Swedish top designer Yngve Ekström for the firm Swedese and sold in the Netherlands in their own collection by the well-known firm Pastoe. This is the model with the high backrest, the so-called gentleman's model.
The original design of the Ruster armchair was part of the Mingo series and designed for the firm Swedese in Sweden. From the 1960s onwards, the model was also included in the Pastoe catalogues under the model name FT08 as a series of very modern Scandinavian furniture.
It has been restored to better-than-new condition, using the finest materials and executed by the best craftsmen; the recently applied upholstery is beautifully sleek and of first-class quality. Finished in the beautiful JORVIK upholstery fabric. The entire filling has also been replaced with the best foam in the right amount; as a result, the original looks have been preserved while the chair offers contemporary, comfy seating comfort.
The woodwork has been completely refurbished and finished to look better than new.
