- [ ] Pure Dutch vintage design! In the mid-1950s, Cees Braakman designed several airy lounge chairs for the Utrecht furniture manufacturer Pastoe, including this Ft14. A design that is as stylish as it is timeless. And everyone can use this model: if you just don't have enough room for a second armchair, this side chair is a quick addition.
The plywood (bent pressed beech with a veneer finish) connection between the seat and backrest provides a slight spring. The seat has a new foam layer. So, the seating comfort is more than adequate!
The subtly designed frame is made of solid teak. It has been cleaned and refinished with a professional satin wax/oil finish, which has preserved the beautiful deep brown patina.
Unobtrusive, but for the sake of completeness: a small damage to the veneer on the plywood section of the back has been repaired (see photo).
An exclusive, coarsely woven upholstery fabric was chosen for the reupholstery. The irregular threads transition from moss green to gray, golden brown, and beige (see photos for the best impression).
In short, a Dutch design from the past, an absolute eye-catcher in today's interior!
