DIVIDING LINE. If you look closely at this painting, you will see a dividing line. Yet another painting that tries to describe another aspect of being human. it can be viewed both horizontally and vertically and the same message will apply because the dividing line is still there. How do we create something? On one side, the colors flow and try to come together. On the other hand, they have formed something. I leave it to you to decide what they have formed. This is how we create. We take many ideas and concepts and use them to form other ideas, concepts or even physical forms. The really interesting part is where the boundary lies. What is the meaning of creating? I've been trying to explore this concept. I also used very strong, warm colors to represent how strong and vibrant this need to create is. This is a painting with painted sides of 4 cm. You can hang it without a frame
My name is Jim Ewing. I am a Scottish painter and now live in Arnhem.
Before I retired, I owned two art galleries in Britain, one in Glasgow and one in Manchester.
After retirement, I spent 10 years cruising the Greek islands on my small yacht, painting and selling my work along the way.
In 2014, I moved to the Netherlands, set up my studio and began painting full-time.
Since then, I have sold my work in Britain, Ireland, Europe, Scandinavia, the U.S., Canada and even Taiwan.
I sell my work through local exhibitions, through various galleries and online. I also welcome visitors to my studio.
