The Papa Bear Chair (Model AP-19), designed by Hans J. Wegner and manufactured by AP Stolen in Denmark, is one of the
most coveted armchairs of post-war modernism. This particular piece dates from the years 1950–1960.
Restoration down to the finest detail
Every element has been faithfully restored: the curved solid oak legs received professional surface treatment, and the
frame was inspected and stabilized. The chair has been reupholstered with exclusive Dedar velvet in the color Limone
— a velvety fabric that beautifully accentuates the organic, embracing form with its characteristic "bear paw"
armrests.
Comfort at the highest level
The seat cushion has been rebuilt with modern multi-layer cold foam, providing optimal seating comfort — for decades
to come.
