Product description
A unique pair of two-tier side tables by Maison Baguès, made in the late 1940s, with solid bamboo-style bronze and beautiful blackened pear wood tops inlaid with stained maple. The marquetry work on the upper trays, with its antique and floral motifs, is very fine, and truly beautifully crafted. The bronze legs and pine cones, as well as the 19th-century-inspired antique shape, are typical of French neoclassical work by Maison Baguès in the 1940s and 1950s. These tables are truly decorative. They have been fully restored and varnished, with a beautiful bronze patina.
