A beautiful set of mirrored vintage (night) cabinets from the 1950s, likely of Belgian manufacture. They are mirrored (left and right versions), which is rarer than two identical cabinets. The combination of two different veneers—dark walnut veneer for the body and a lighter oak or ash veneer for the doors—gives these cabinets a striking, characterful appearance that is rarely encountered.
The top is covered in black Formica in excellent condition. The round brass knob is original and adds a beautiful warm touch. The tapered legs are typical of post-war Belgian and French modernism. The cabinets are mirrored—a left and a right version—which is ideal as bedside tables on either side of the bed.
Condition: good vintage. Normal signs of age, no major damage. The maker has not been identified, but the quality of the craftsmanship speaks for itself.
