Unusual pair of vintage Italian children’s chairs, one marked Canova – Made in Italy and the other Eurotoys – Made in Italy. The two chairs feature an almost identical sculptural design, with rounded lines and a distinctive moulded wood-grain texture. Despite their natural appearance, they are made of moulded plastic. A playful and highly decorative example of Italian children’s furniture from approximately the 1970s–1980s, with a strong Space Age / postmodern feel. The chairs show differences in colour and signs of age and use, as visible in the photographs. Great as children’s seating, but equally appealing today as decorative accent chairs, plant stands or collectible vintage design pieces. Sold as a pair.
