Set of two beautiful, sculptural candlesticks from the famous French pottery village of Vallauris. These iconic objects were designed in the 1950s by the Ceramidi studio. They stand out for their organic, almost abstract forms and the striking contrast between the iridescent black glaze and the bright pink interior. A beautiful example of Mid-Century Modern design that fits perfectly in an eclectic or vintage interior.
Designer/Studio: Ceramidi Vallauris, France
Period: 1950s.
Material: Ceramic (glazed earthenware).Color: Iridescent black and glossy pink.
Style: Zoomorphic / Abstract design.
Condition: In good vintage condition with a beautifully preserved shine. As is often the case with ceramics of this age, there are two small chips on the underside and one tiny chip on the bottom/side (see detail photos). These are barely noticeable when the candlesticks are standing and do not detract from the decorative value of the set.
