Benham and Froud marked the grisou with their signature orb on the underside of each vertical. The grisou consist of finely turned crossbars that are larger in diameter than the lower bars and are set between uprights with spherical tops, mounted on curved legs.Dr. Dresser likely designed these grisoutiers, as his style, combined with the period, matches his design characteristics.
