Duo of Dutch vases produced by Vest
Keramiek, a workshop founded in Gouda in the 1970s by brothers Marius and Hugo van Woerden.
Made in hand-glazed terracotta, these vases combine formal rigor and tactile expressiveness, in the spirit of the "fat lava" movement. Vest Keramiek left its mark on the Dutch ceramics scene with its blend of craftsmanship and mass production, before going out of business in 1984.
These two soliflores represent the radical aesthetics of post-war Dutch ceramics.
One has a square shape with an openwork center, typical of Dutch ceramics of the period. The second has a square body topped by a narrow chimney-shaped neck, with more organic lines.
The label is no longer present.
