The stone displays its natural cavities and sandy beige hues typical of travertine, reinforcing the overall mineral and architectural aspect. This pair is part of French production from the 1970s and 1980s, influenced by European research into sculpted stone and geometric forms. The carving and incised motif evoke certain Italian productions from the Volterra region, particularly those of workshops such as Cerri Nestore, although a precise attribution cannot be confirmed.
