A rare pair of sculptural chairs by French designer David Emery. Crafted from metal with a gold patina, they are distinguished by their very high, openwork backs with organic, sinuous lines, characteristic of David Emery's decorative style. The two chairs feature different upholstered seats: one in deep red velvet and the other in cream fabric with a raised floral design. This combination lends them a particularly decorative character. Note: Each chair exhibits slight variations in shape inherent to the handcrafted work of wrought iron; the back of the chair with the red seat, in particular, is more inclined backward. With their dramatic silhouette and a height of approximately 170 cm, these chairs are both pieces of furniture and true sculptural elements. They are particularly well-suited to a distinctive interior, a design project, a hotel, a restaurant, or a designer furniture collection. Seat height: approximately 56 cm with upholstery (48.5 cm at the metal frame before upholstery). Total height: approximately 170 cm. Seat: approximately 36 x 36 cm. Seat height with metal frame: 48.5 cm. Seat height with padding: approximately 56 cm. Good overall condition, with slight signs of use and wear to the gold patina due to age, visible in the photographs. Sold only as a pair.
