A striking pair of ‘Rose’ lounge chairs, designed by Japanese designer Masanori Umeda for Edra, Italy, in 1990. Intended as a functional sculpture rather than conventional seating, the Rose chair has grown into one of the most iconic and recognizable postmodern furniture designs of the late 20th century.
Inspired by the shape of a blooming rose, the sculptural silhouette combines sensual curves with remarkable craftsmanship. The layered, petal-like construction creates a dramatic visual presence from every angle, while the chair simultaneously offers an inviting and surprisingly comfortable seating experience.
