Product description
An exceptional pair of high-quality ceiling lights from the 1980s in a postmodern/space-age style.
The lights are made entirely of glass: a square plate of intense cobalt blue textured glass and a large hemispherical dome of opal white glass.
The delicate inclusions, waves, and irregular structures in the blue glass are particularly beautiful, giving the lights a handcrafted, studio-glass character. The two lamps differ slightly in size (approximately 30 cm and 30.6 cm), further suggesting they were not entirely mass-produced.
They create a highly decorative, architectural effect with clear influences from postmodernism, space age, and 1980s Memphis design.
