A refined pair of vintage mushroom-shaped table lamps (lampshades), an excellent example of the artistic production of the renowned AV Mazzega glassworks (Murano), dating back to the 1970s. These lamps perfectly embody the sophisticated aesthetic of Italian modernism and Space Age design of that decade. The craftsmanship is evident in the exquisite Murano craftsmanship of the hand-blown glass diffuser: a semi-transparent base enriched with a dense inclusion of grit and speckled fragments (confetti-style) in vibrant shades of coral red and orange, a decorative technique in which the master glassmakers of AV Mazzega have excelled. The domed lampshades rest on elegant, minimalist stems in satin-finish metal with stable circular bases, a clean textural contrast that allows the vibrant color of the glass to take center stage.
