A rare lounge set from the Far Horizons collection by the American manufacturer Ficks Reed, emblematic of 1954 modernist design, this set comprises a pair of armchairs and two ottomans. It is distinguished by its elegant bamboo and stained rattan frame, enhanced by exposed bindings and brass finials, hallmarks of the "country/tropical modern" style developed by Ficks Reed in the mid-20th century.
The lines are both robust and refined, designed for indoor use as well as for a conservatory or vacation home.
The generous proportions offer excellent comfort, further enhanced by cushions upholstered in a simple beige fabric, perfectly suited to the set's aesthetic. The rattan bindings and frames are in excellent condition.
