Product description
Pair of hand-painted ceramic zoomorphic sculptures, made by Manifattura Artistica Le Porcellane in the 1970s. The tail of one of the sculptures has been restored, as shown in the images. Further information and photos available upon request. Diameter 20 cm, height 16 cm. Manifattura Artistica Le Porcellane, founded in 1948 through Mario Sernesi's vision, is a historic company with deep roots in the prestigious artisanal tradition of the Florentine area. Established in Florence in the immediate post-war period and historically linked to the Sesto Fiorentino district, the company is now located in Campi Bisenzio. Its production represents the ideal synthesis between the ancient knowledge of high-fire kaolin craftsmanship and an eclectic, cosmopolitan luxury. The porcelain from this manufactory is fired at extremely high temperatures (up to 1330°C). This process completely fuses the vitreous body, ensuring excellent compactness, a pure and translucent white, and the clear resonance typical of high-end productions. The iconic gilding is not simple paint, but meticulously hand-executed applications of 24-carat pure gold or pure platinum. After being applied with a brush, the precious metals undergo a third firing (at a lower temperature) to indissolubly fuse with the glaze, finally being hand-burnished with agate stones to achieve their maximum luster. Initially focusing on opulent forms of Baroque or Neoclassical inspiration (as demonstrated by the richly "all-over" decorated vases and the complex zoomorphic statuary of birds with geometric and scale patterns), the manufactory has successfully embraced modernity. Today it also offers contemporary collections with clean, geometric, and sculptural lines, collaborating with important designers (such as Salvatore Spataro). Additional details: - Brand: Manifattura Artistica Le Porcellane - Style: Baroque-inspired - Style: Neoclassical-inspired - Style: Eclectic - Material: Platino - Colour: Oro - Colour: Platino - Period: 1970s
