An elegant pair of side tables dating from the second half of the 20th century, designed in the classical Empire / Neoclassical style. The tables are distinguished by their light architectural form, elegant proportions, and carefully executed decorative details. Each table features a single drawer with a decorative brass rosette pull. The slender columnar supports are embellished with finely detailed brass mounts, adding a refined Neoclassical character to the overall design. The tops feature contrasting inlaid borders that subtly highlight the natural grain and warm tones of the wood. A lower shelf provides additional practical display or storage space, while each table is supported by four elegant tapered legs. The tables have been preserved in their original condition and have only been gently refreshed, with particular care taken to retain the existing surface and patina. Natural signs of use and age remain visible, including minor variations in colour and surface imperfections, intentionally preserved as part of the authentic character of the pieces. With their timeless proportions and elegant detailing, these tables work beautifully as side tables, bedside tables or occasional tables, either displayed together as a pair or used separately. Sold as a pair.
